Gymnastics Montage: Not Always Happy Endings

Video Description:
A montage about the sad stories in gymnastics. I cannot even imagine the pain of training your whole life for a dream then having it taken away.
Footage includes Julissa Gomez, Christy Henrich and Yelena Mukhina, whose stories are perhaps the greatest examples of tragedy in gymnastics.
Also included is Sang Lan, who is a very inspiring amd courageous woman. She has managed to keep a positive outlook on life and do many great things. She hopes to be one of the final torchbearers at next year's Beijing Olympic Games.
The other gymnasts I chose becasue they were perhaps the best examples of gymnasts forced to retire in their prime, or before their career even really began.
I also included those who never lived up to expectations, those supposed to be the next big thing who were then forced to watch their dreams slip away in the spotlight.

Very nicely put together, but how sad!! To perform this kind of high-level activity is extremely dangerous, of course, and these women are either willing to risk their lives for it or think nothing will ever happen to them. Most people would love to have their skills, but along with that comes many risks. Good luck to all!

No, you can get hurt in so many different ways.
They obviously listen to their coaches, but things go wrong, and you can get injured from the tiniest mistake.
So that's a stupid statement.

I think its such a shame that gymnastics has so many injuries from working too hard or being pushed to the limit, or simply just a twist or fall...it must be devastating to do gymnastics for ages and then have it taken away! :(

i don't believe that a idiot judge told her to loose weight and she died!!!! what the...?!?!?!?! that is an amazing video but what got me was the girl with the knee injury screaming on the mats and being carried off by her coach that is heart breaking.
