Congressman Paul's consistent voting record prompted one of his congressional colleagues to say, "Ron Paul personifies the Founding Fathers' ideal of the citizen-statesman. He makes it clear that his principles will never be compromised, and they never are." Another colleague observed, "There are few people in public life who, through thick and thin, rain or shine, stick to their principles. Ron Paul is one of those few."

The reasons he was ... ( 1 day ago by finstersrc30)
The reasons he was not elected is that he is intelligent and speaks the truth. Americans DONT want the truth and cant relate to intelligent people.
The media and corporations chose the President Elect and the sheep Americans went along. Why think for yourself when the candidate is chosen for you? Right? America!
axle, Ron Paul DID ... ( 1 day ago by dviesq)
axle, Ron Paul DID participate in most nationally televised debates. You and I both watched them. The mostly Republican audience DID hear his views DIRECTLY from him. That's one (we like to ignore.) Second, he had more money than even McCain early on. He could afford to get his message out and DID. I haven't heard reports of radio/tv stations refusing his money. Face it, he WAS heard and most primary voters went with other candidates.
And, before we ... ( 1 day ago by dviesq)
And, before we start with "the media didn't like him," remember that the media HATED Huckabee, and he, also, struggled with funds early on. Yet, he did better in the primaries. We can come up with excuses ad infinitum, or accept that except for a very small minority, his message just didn't take.
You know my ... ( 1 day ago by axlerodhomeboy)
You know my position on this issue. Timing is everything. Fox News bumped him before the New Hampshire primary. That is evidence enough that SOMEBODY didn't like him enough to eliminate him from the stage. Forget the politicians. Think bigger. Was it the head of the Rep. party? Was it the board of directors at FOX? We know SOMEBODY made the call... made it happen. It's proof that what you say is true; folks all don't agree with him... it doesn't mean that what he believes isn't right.
Yes, but unlike ... ( 1 day ago by axlerodhomeboy)
Yes, but unlike Huckabee, he was eliminated from a debate right before the primary vote. I concede that some folks heard him, understood him, and disagreed with him. Clearly, you and Sean Hannity have something in common. Folks can continue doing that, and he will continue speaking. It takes a long time to change a person's mind.
I've just noticed that you didn't answer my question.

media giants hate him, theres probaly 10-20 people running the show and they know if paul is ever elected the partys over, sadly it probaly will never end because noone knows about him or our serious problems going on like the fact were going bankrupt, maybe 2012 but i seriously doubt it will happen when he never gets spotlight no matter what unless theyre putting a negative spin on his truth and make him out to be a loon

I have heard the Republican spokesmen talk recently about how... "the GOP has lost it's way..." and the need to "return to our principles" these are good catch phrases, BORROWED from RON PAUL during the debates. If Dr. Paul had only got some SUPPORT from his own party... geesh!
Today's media ... ( 1 day ago by engine2truck6)
Today's media considers Guliani and Huckabee major candidates, and both received NO DELEGATES NO DELEGATES> NONE NONE NONE. Dr. Paul got 35 delegates despite NOT being invited to FOX debates (tho he LEAD Huck & Guliani in the Polls) and DESPITE the constant constant UNDERCUTTING by his own party and the media.
Watch the MTV debates. And the fox debates. Voters responded WELL, and the media dismissed the text and online polls because they did not fit their desired results.

I don't know if Republicans voted for McCain our of conviction or party loyalty. Which was it in your case? I have nothing in common with Hannity. The business of taking time to change one's mind is condescending and insulting and implies that one is stupid or uneducated to have voted for someone other than Ron Paul. Still can't accept that free thinking people, smart and educated DID vote for other candidates. It takes time. :)
Ok, engine2truck, ... ( 16 hours ago by dviesq)
Ok, engine2truck, you're still on the voting fraud bandwagon and conspiracy therories. Still can't face the results. It's ok. I suggest you take a course in statistics (not political, just the science of statistics.) On the AOL poll McCain had all the states won all the way to the day before the election. Online and call-in polls are tainted by zealous supporters who call or click compulsively, even if they're teenagers who can't even case ONE real vote.

Fair enough, I'm a little conspiracy-spooked! Statistics course won't help clarify ethical & political principle, which is where McCain is a weakest, and Obama & Dr. Paul are strong (and complete opposites). I maintain that established powers paint Dr. Paul as a "kook", but they DON"T counter his ideas with reason and logic, because they can't. If the powers that be EMBRACED the principles of the Founders, Dr Paul would be legitimized, and could win.

BTW... it is just as reasonable to believe that McCain, Romney, and Huck had their own well financed, well intentioned "text squads". I LOVE how MTV (did you tube it?) just don't know what to do with RON.

I voted early, so we got paper ballots. I didn't vote for McCain or Obama.
You're not reading something right. I said that I conceded the fact that some folks just disagree with his message. Which part of the message? The whole thing? Only the gold part? What? Surely not the whole thing. How many pro-war, pro-budget deficit, pro-tax, anti-freedom constituents do you believe there are? I'm sure some exist, but I wonder if they know that's what they are?

Paultards, listen up. It is time for another massive march. Gather up 20 or so of your fellow 'tards and head for D.C. Arrive on Jan. 20. 2009. Be sure to wear your Paul T-shirts, hats, carry your little Paul blimps. Next get your loser friends to video tape your group with the "million" of other people there and claim they are All Paultards. All of the smart 'tards who post here will believe you. Then take down all the pitiful "march" videos from last summer where only 6 to 8 hundred showed up.
