People clamored for change, IMO two things above all would bring about sweeping change for the betterment of our country. Congressional term limits and abolish tax withholding, if people had to sit down and write out a check every year to pay their taxes these bureaucratic parasites would be out on the street and we could get straight shooting people like Ron Paul to return us to a constitutional government. The only thing stopping this is ignorance and blind partisanship!

McCain is slightly worse on foreign policy. In many other ways the two main candidates were the same on other issues such as not supporting addiitional drilling for oil in the US, not securing the Mexican border and offering amnesty, offering bailouts to incompetent auto companies. Neither candidate addressed monetary policy. Both were for sanctioning and invading Iran. Both have no intention of getting out of Iraq completely. Either way the US was screwed.
