GREAT SONG!!!!!!! Gary Moores version has more balls,but this is just incredible.Sad someone with such awesome talent would hang himself in a jail cell.He was arrested for being drunk in public,why KILL yourself over that? What a waste of talent.I can't even imagine what incredible songs he may have written,if he had lived.

You need to understand ROY invented this kind of playing.Everybody else copies HIM.Jeff Beck will tell ya that.The story I heard is Roy hung himself in a jail cell with a belt.He never wore a belt? I think the good ole boyz hung him.Only in America!!!!

roy buchanan's version is better than moore's. gary moore needs all his effects etc and he goes overboard as usual. plus parisianne walkways is ripped off from messiah will come again. Roy is a true legend. no offence to gary moore hes great too but he does rip roy off a bit. (in my opinion)

i agree to extent but there are amazing guitar players today we may not of herd them in crappy kerrang or the charts but there are bed room heros and guitar players like ben davis, Jose Gonzalez for exaple music with passion and soul, just a overwhelling amount of musicians that are there for the fame and the bullshit, awsomely sad song though

There really is no *best* of when in comes to guitar players. I have utmost respect for all mentioned ... but since two of then are dead at such early age ... the best can't retort. Moore is a guitar player's player. He can certainly cook. He is one of the few keeping the flame alive with the on onslaught of horrible manufactured pop music of 2000.
