In 1953, the US got rid of democratically elected, Mohamed Mosaddeq, president of Iran and installed the Shah (a strong armed dictator), supplying him with billions of dollars, all because the US didn't want Iran nationalizing its oil reserves, it's own oil.
By doing this to Iran, the US stripped the country of it's democracy and replaced it with a ruthless dictator (the shah). This played a part in encouraging the Muslims to fly planes into American buildings , due to all the pain and suffering that this has caused Muslims abroad.

It's like banging your head against the wall, trying to get people to see that less intervention, not more, is the answer. As Michael Scheuer, the former head of the CIA's Bin Laden Unit points out in "Imperial Hubris," we are hated across the Islamic world because of our policies and actions. Supporting a military dictator in Pakistan while we "bring democracy to Iraq" isn't just laughably hypocritical, it's downright dangerous. Of all the 08 candidates, only Ron Paul seems to get it.

What class planet are you from?!? During Mushie's skull cracking the Taliban made enormous gains into the interior, which the military still hasn't bee able to recapture. There's video right here on YT that shows terrain that can't be filmed due to Mushie's grab for power. The reason the Taliban killed her was that Bhutto was fighting them, and unlike Mushie, might have actually succeeded. Now, Pakistan is in real danger of being overrun. Good job Mushie!

Bhutto said the Musharraf regime was responsible for terrorism there, our FBI confirmed elements in the government played a roll in funding 911. Pakistan HAD democracy before Musharraf and his military dictatorship took over.
