Video featuring the furry fun that was had at Fur-Life's One-Year Anniversary barbecue event at Veteran's Memorial Park in Mountlake Terrace on July 5, 2008.
55 Seattle-area furs attended this event which included mixers, a ball pit (which had self-containment issues at times), a dry-ice ice cream social, a gigantic Twister tournament, Guitar Hero, lots of munchies and of course scritches!
Also included is the infamous QFC Fursuit run to pick up moar burger buns.
Special Recognition to the original six Fur-Life members that christened this park with furriness one year ago: Michael J Fox, Drewfus T Fox, Scruffy, Lapine, Char, and Zeebo.
Featuring the following fursuiters: MJF, Scout, Scruffy, Whitepaws, Ithabise, Treever, Char, SirCrimsonFox and Kijani (yaay! ^_^)
My cub Simba fursuit (with the head 14 sizes too big) came in the morning of the Furmeet, talk about perfect timing! It was my first time ever in suit and SO much fun, can't wait for my commissioned suit to arrive later this month.
It was a great meet, and wondering how we'll top this one next year!

Meh... at least I didn't use "Rock Star". I had numerous requests for "no techno" this time around and I know you're all about hardcore techno beats-I guess it's hard to satisfy everybody. This is pretty much the only Miley song I like and thought it was pretty appropriate for a gathering like this with everyone gettin' out there, making the park rock (even literally w/guitar hero) and celebrating each other and our furriness. ^_^

That was awesome... I had a furry's worth of fun there. Here's hoping we have fun the next year and I'm still here for the next anniversary.
BTW anyone know if anyone videotaped me and the other furr playing through the fire and flames?

Weeeeelllll if you want to be completely accurate, the original six were Michael, Drew, Scruffy, Zeebo, myself (Char) and Quatre. Quatre was not able to make it to the anniversary BBQ. Ohhhh and of course my huskies were there too =)
