KAISER IS A CORPORATE GIANT.
THEY ARE THE BIGGEST IN US.
THEY ARE MAKING BILLIONS.
NOT ONLY ARE THEY DUMPING PATIENTS THAT CAN'T PAY THEY HAVE THERE REHAB PLACES WHERE PEOPLE ARE OVERDOSED AND DENIED MEDICATION.
Ask any one that works in other hospitals
in southern California.
It would be on the QT or they lose their jobs.
My friend was one of their victims as a paying Kaiser patient paid by Boeing Company.
He was an Engineer at Boeing so this happens to high paying customers too.

I think many people make flawed assumption thinking that because he is for less government intervention than he is supporting the status quo. Remember everybody, the idea of freeing up the market is a reformation of the current government-controlled insurance corporations which give health insurance in America the veneer of a free-market industry.

not being one who wants to pay the government 2 dollars to make a buck, and just throwing this out there, what is wrong with local hospitals handling local health care.
its a system practically in place already.
local hospital collects payments from local residents. local hospital provides local health care. if there was 50,000 residents paying into the local hospital just $50/month that equals what?
Government ... ( 3 months ago by Seahorse1776)
Government controlled health care is not only totalitarian but an act of state aggression upon the sovereign citizen who alone has the right (using their own money) to choose what medical advice and treatment to get without state interference, oversight or funding. Socialized medicine just like any other state controlled entity brings about higher prices and lower quality, such as waiting 3-5 months for a MRI and up to a year to see a specialist. I should know, I live in miserable Canada!

Should NASA be a free market space agency? What about the military...should that be free market? Healthcare? NO! Things that matter should never be left up to shareholder interests.

Cut back on military spending and NASA, and start producing more products in America, and there will be enough money for healthcare.

so basically ur saying, things that matter should be left up to the federal government?...well, let me ask u something...how good a job has the federal government done with managing all of it's programs and bureaucracies?..when u give the government control over the marketplace, they completely ruin it, yet, the most important things should be left to them?...government isn't reason, or eloquence...it is force...it should manage as least as possible
So basically you ... ( 2 months ago by gallowswood)
So basically you are saying that you wouldn't mind companies like Enron, Lehman Brothers, and Worldcom running the US Navy, Army, Air Force and Marine Corps. Or maybe Washington Mutual, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. No thanks. The military is part of the federal government, and should remain so. And Healthcare is too important to put in the hands of profiteers.

I am from the UK, though I have lived in the US for about 10 years. The national healtcare system in the UK is not perferct, and we sure do complain about it, but it's a hell-of-a-lot better than that 3rd-world health system in the states. I like the states, but the country is behind the developed world in healthcare. It should be a right.

I appreciate Ron Paul's philosophy. I do wonder, however, what the difference between "corporate" health care and "free market" HC would would be. n-e-1?
I also have this for Dr. Paul's consideration. The Constitution DOES place the government in charge of fostering the Arts and Sciences and acting for the good of the people. Seems to me that Dr Paul would cast out the baby with & the water in the interest of free markets. Media & medical control exclusively in private hands mite b a bad idea.

One payer system is the only way to go.
Private health insurance is a private tyranny that only exists in United States. It's a rather barbaric system that tells you you're health is only worth what you can afford.
People in United States should get behind, and support, HR 676. If you don't know what it is learn about it! GM & Ford are going bankrupt because of the rising cost of health care. If United States had single-payer system, the companies wouldn't have to worry about it.

The World Health Organization's ranking of the world's healthcare systems revealed that France was no:1.
It's no wonder because 40% of the French people use Homeopathy.
The French are the highest consumers of Homeopathy in the world.
The U.S.'s flawed healthcare system which is predominantly Allopathy, ranked at no.35 way below 3rd world countries such as Colombia, Chile, Dominica, Costa Rica and Singapore.

have you ever read the US Constitution?
Do you know that the federal reserve bank is a private company? Look at what that has done when private companies take over specific roles of the federal government.
It would be a problem if those private companies took over specific roles outlined as mandatory for the Federal Gov't in the Constitution.
