He is lucky he didn't come in early '90s straight out of high school. he would've averaged 8 mins a game as a rookie. Kids should know when to go to college & get a college degree.

Today's nba fans just dont see this. MJ's was the utility dribble. If point A is where MJ is standing & Point B is the rim, he will get there in the fastest time possible with minimum dribbles. All this today's garbage of AND 1 dribble btw the legs & carrying the ball is just not seen. For this reason, today's kobe fans think kobe is a better ball handler than MJ cuz MJ did not do AND 1 stuff.

I agree, all he needs is a jab step or stutter dribble to get the opponent offbalance and then he EXPLODES to the basket. It really only takes one or two quick moves to beat someone if you can finish like Jordan.

Exactly, Jordan was about getting the ball into the basket. He was not trying out for the Harlem Globetrotters. He showed his dribbling abilities when he confounded Larry Bird in that 63 point game with the in between the legs dribble/Ali shuffle.

MJ took no name down & out franchise & made them playoff team witn 1 playoff victory too. did it all with near 29 ppg & near 50% fg. 1985 was extremely completitive era defensively & talent wise & lots of physical play. 2003 Kobe can never survive that kind of abuse that MJ did. specially playing both killer offense & killer defense for 82 games. Kobe will burn out by 30th game.

so true. he is obviously the only one with all the elements maxing out, including the rare big hands for players in his size.
when he was about to make his first step from a stand-still state, it is impossible to stop him due to the fact that he could put the ball anywhere and then follow the ball with his insane quickness and explosiveness. when you can palm the ball so tight and move it across your head like it is glued into your hand you can do so many thing that most cant.

some big men like hakeem and shaq can palm the ball too, but they dont have the same type of explosiveness mj had. but still if you look at hakeem he obviously benefited by his large hands like mj did.
mj big and strong hands also allow him to do way more moves in the air when he is dunking the ball, which explains why his dunks are way more graceful than say leborn, wade , and kobe.

absolutely bigger than kobe in his 6th year. his game was much more efficient from the get go. as mj said recently, not even a contest. and notice jordan was never a selfish player to begin with like many misunderstood. kobe, on the other hand, is slower, jacking up stupid 3s a lot more, and holding the ball much longer in his hands than mj. tex winter recently complain that kobe is holding the rock too long for the tri. offense,it is pretty obvious even since shaq left.
