I believe the people of Alaska receive a $1000 check at the end of each year, from the oil companies. What exactly would they have to be angry about?
I find it interesting that my COUNTY has a larger population than her entire state. Brooklyn is 1 of the 5 boroughs of NYC, and the mayor of just the borough of Brooklyn governs x3 as many people as she does in Alaska.
Point is. When you have such a tiny (less than 1 mill) - population as Alaska does, a higher approval is not that impressive.

Ever consider doing a little research before you post? Alaskans do get a check every year, and Gov Palin negotiated an additional $1200 out of the oil companies profits last year.
Its interesting that less than ten state governments are in the black, and one of them is Alaska. Your wonderful state of NY is one highest taxed in the country, and is in debt big time.
Low population=higher approval rating?? If thats your point, its a mystery why you wasted your time posting.

It is not interesting. Alaska is basically a welfare state to the oil companies. It is the biggest state in the union, yet has an absurdly small amount of people who reside there. NYS has over 20x Alaska's population. 20 million people reside in NYS, compared to less than 700,000 in Alaska, even though Alaska is much larger than NYS.
Low population does not equal higher approval rating. It just makes having one much less impressive, lets see her govern NYS, and see if it lasts. Think it would?
