Actually the troups where colonials i believe (loyalist) only Tavington was a English.Although he gave the order to fire the church his colonial dragoons did the dastardly deed.Yes there was a Tavington but the burning of the Church is hollywood taking liberty for dramatic reasons we know this in the U.S. don't worry.
