I LOVE it when people actually compare the WTC made of THOUSANDS of joints in the steel etc to a tree.
In point of fact it is literally IMPOSSIBLE for any of three to have tipped over.
It just doesn't happen that way in the real world, a little aspect called angular momentum vs shear resistance.
The lower floors also were NEVER designed to take a sudden impact collapse from above.
Another little concept known as vertical DYNAMIC loading.

The speed of all the collapses is exactly right sans bombs.

i agree that due to the exponential increase in kinetic energy, if one floor goes then a global collapse with lots of pulverization of concrete at pretty much the rate of freefall is inevitable as long as the symmetry is maintained.
i just don't believe that the initial impact, at least in the case of the north tower would crush that first floor and i also don't believe that the symmetry would be maintained, especially in the case of south tower.
As for WTC7 i have no doubt it was a CD.

The kinetic energy in the North Tower was more on the order 5 in magnitude not the 8.4 of the South.
Still more than enough to crush the first floor.
Those were BEST case scenario not even factoring the uneven loading or fracturing of the structure from the plane hits.
As for 7, there are a few dozen FDNY that disagree with you, and NIST for that matter.
Especially in regard to the damage done when 1 fell on it.
No need for CD after that.
