Yes and no. Rugby is still based on massive and fast men smashing into each other. Yes you need to commit with the arms and can only tackle the ball carrier, but big hits and clear outs in rugby are like American Football without the pads. At the end of the day both sports involve men hitting each other as hard as they can.

this is rugby 7's, its the smaller version of the game with only 7 players on the field from each team at a time, this is more about the skill, speed and evasivness of players rather than big hits. most people that try the big hits in this game just get stepped then run around

i just dont see how americans dont fin this interesting, if your playing gridiron you only get to do 1 thing, linemen push, kicker kicks, quaterback throws, i just think that would be so boring, this sport you get to do everything, run with the ball, tackle, pass kick.
