Every handball fan knows about the strength of the croation team, but it's definitely not the best of the last decade. If you consider the 3 big competitions of the last 11yrs (World championship 1997-2007, European championship 1998-2008 & the Olympic Games 2000-2008) and give 3 points for a gold medal, 2 points for a silver medal & 1 point for a bronze medal you'll get the following ranking: SWE 18, FRA 13, GER 13, RUS 11, CRO 10 & ESP 10. Plz don't get me wrong, all of these teams are great!

if you want to pick the best team, just look in number of young players, kids training handball, number of citizens, coaches, teams,croatia has population 4.000.000, only 4 handball court, only 1 strong hand.club - zagreb....that s why we call all team the best in the world.we are litlle country ( population like one bigger city in germany) with lots of champions, lots of gold medal. don t compare ous with france or germany, they have much more prof.handball players than we have citizens.
