Schiff is incorrect in one respect. There is no way to profit from this collapse. All currencies will take a huge hit.

The market isn't an indicator of the strength of the currency. Just how the market was doing great a year guy the dollar was starting to plummet.

Mr. Schiff is still right, it's just that he doesn't realize that governments manipulate and hold down the price of gold and silver. high gold prices mean a lack of confidence in the currency and makes politicians look bad. So when you buy gold you are actually going against the government and they will try and break you. Gold should be $2,000 right NOW, but our corrupt government is shorting it like mad on the COMEX. Sucks to be us I guess, but Schiff's premises are all right. Peace.

Wrong. As the dolar devaluates other currencies are getting stronger and I think that if the FED doesn´t stop printing dolar like hell the world will go for another standart, like euro soon.

Mr Schiff is inaccurate - bullish in Foreign markets? as one can see the contagion spilled into every market there is. and as for the comex they wouldn't even have enough supply for the paper they've written...it would crash and burn too!

When I hear a politician say we need a tariff at the border on all foreign goods, I will know they are serious about solving the economic problem. Our economy cannot survive as a service economy.

you think a closed economy is the answer? just making sure i'm following you.
yeah but price ... ( 4 weeks ago by x7isrich)
yeah but price suppression doesn't affect actual value at all. i think that's his point. you can always trade gold; if not in us currency, somewhere. he's an advocate of actual gold, not typically gold stock.
No not at all, but ... ( 4 weeks ago by louiethegreater)
No not at all, but it is common sense that our current trade policies aren't working. We cannot continue to be consumers of third world goods, and produce nothing. Tariffs would send multinational Corperations racing back to American soil.

i agree that we must produce, and anything to encourage that is welcome. obama doubling corporate tax rate will not help :)

I'me not an Obama fan, but that will not happen, he is already backing off that campeign statement.

not surprised. both candidates were very careful to say as little as possible while running for presidency. this past campaign had less actual content than any political campaign i've witnessed, and that's saying something. bottom line: i don't think anyone knows what will happen; we're all feeling this out one day at a time :)
Hay I totally agree ... ( 4 weeks ago by louiethegreater)
Hay I totally agree, frankly I am amazed at Obama's selection of his cabinet. Hillary, Rom Emanuel, Tim Geithner. One thing is obvious they are all of a globalist ideology. They are all Washington insiders, which is bad for us. Change will not happen under his administration. It wouldn't have happended under a McCain Administration either, both parties are owned by the same plutocracy.
Will i have to say ... ( 4 weeks ago by x7isrich)
Will i have to say i think there will be change. I would just be remiss to give the Obama camp credit for it. These days, government is NOT working in our best interest. People keeping quoting "by the people, for the people" to me and saying it's the government's job to make things better. People don't understand how money works, or government for that matter. Not that I'm some guru, but c'mon now, since when does Uncle Sam give a damn about you?
I have never been ... ( 4 weeks ago by louiethegreater)
I have never been one to depend on government either. That said; I have wondered why our government would encourage, by giving tax breaks, and encouraging the race to the bottom, of our manufacturing base. Why would they do that?
Maybe I'm ... ( 4 weeks ago by x7isrich)
Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but I think pushing manufacturing out is an unintentional consequence. I think they don't think it matters. If you can build a powerful gdp based on consumption, what need do you have for manufacturing?
I believe they knew ... ( 4 weeks ago by louiethegreater)
I believe they knew exactly what they were doing. Our government is reaching for globalism, a world without nationstates. How could we have a strong GDP by consumption. Could you pay your bills without producing anything, just by consumption alone. Thats impossible.

I've been saying tuitions have been way too high for years. Peter nails it @ 1:18.
Every time I watch Peter it's almost like watchin Marty McFly, a guy who took a trip in a time machine and is trying to tell the world what's about to happen...only to get laughed out of the room.
