thats the thing, i feel they will not love this and will find an excuse to call this immoral over a set of rather some rather vague principles. i admit im a bit blind with my disillusioned hatred, but im rather sure if you got a non-manufactured (a.k.a. based on real cells) solution for some actual disease, you got a horde of babyboomers raving about how its against the * of *(insert a deity name here)*. after all, its not the first time extremist have destroyed human knowledge.

Your hate seems to be primarily with Christians... I am very curious about your world view and beliefs, but that is a different subject...
Without going off on a tangent, Christians probobly won't have any problem with this. It is very non-controversial. There is nothing here that would be aginst any deity in today's modern religeons that I have studied. No life is sacrificed to make the cells, and there is nothing there that is hurting anyone.

hmmhm.. fair point, i guess i need to reword my rants xD i loathe extremism, and currently the loudest two around are within decent churchfolk and the still remaining decent muslims. i just find it irritating entire societies are driven by the will of the few. thats about it. just random thought,if the tech is found and tuned in our lifetime, i sure do hope it will not be patented to death. drug companies make the products yes but thats never the full picture "cost not to die? your soul"

also, what gets me is the vague points of opposition. before a good source for cells of this nature is found, a factor in opposition is revolving around life, definition of it and when it begins. not exactly the most precise of points, eh? though, im glad to see that segment of criticism fading, so im partly talking from my arse here.

For people with genetic kidney defects, I wonder if it would still be helpful. I suppose it could be as you simply grow new cells which still have the defect but because it takes years for them to fail you've got lots of time.
