Most of it after primaries... He actually did have grassroot support... However, in the end your right. Most people don't realize that private donations account for less then 5% of Obama's finances after the primaries... However, during the primaries, he was primarily funded by citizens... Ron Paul still gained more online funding then any other candidate before the end of the primaries however, and yet he was given no attention by the media... Apparent bias.

I find it ironic in the extreme that commentators on this video seem irritated by Ron Paul being interviewed outdoors (presumably on grounds of his health) whilst he himself thinks it fine for those who can't afford healthcare to be denied it because they shouldn't have it as a 'right'. Weird. Would he step over those in pain in the street?

I imagine they had a good reason to hold the interview outdoors, but I doubt CNN seeks public funds to recompense inconvenienced interviewees (presumably on the grounds of their health).

Freedom yes, healthcare NO. RIGHTS extend from PROPERTY! You are mistaking the property of your body giving you the right to the PROPERTY OF ANOTHER PERSON'S LABOR. Your rights extend only so far as they do not encroach on another's rights. LABOR is Private Property - that's the reason direct unapportioned taxes e.g. Income Tax, are Unconstitutional. Now, we have TONS of Free Hospitals that are run by charities.

Perhaps if we were a little more free and able to keep our money instead of it being stolen by the Government, those charity hospitals would be able to provide broader base services to their communities. What is a RIGHT is being able to trade your labor, your goods or your money (Earned through you private property labor) for other goods or services by entering into Private Contracts.
