the universe is at least 20 billions years old, but if somebody is a creationist it does not make them unfit for office. evolution is 19th century discovery and creationist theory as been around for centuries more. How many kings had ruled prior to Darwin? Many of them were quite competent and rational when it came to everyday matters. Maher just has to compartmentalize as usual. cheers to Huckabee, he stood up well. I don't really support all of his views, but maher acts like a bully sometimes.

1. Being a creationist puts you directly at odds with good science. World leaders will need the advice of good scientsits more and more.
2. Being a creationist tends to mean you are a literalist, which in biblical terms means you are a self loather who believes our time on earth coming to an end will be a good thing and the repentent amond us will live happily ever after in heaven - WITH NUKES!!

Huck is denying evolution which is saying he rejects good science. Keeping science out of the whitehouse is frankly ridiculous. It's not simply the other side of the same coin as religion - science wields tangible results in terms of human knowledge, health and technology and ultimately survival in the the times ahead with new threats from disease, natural disasters and eventual death of our planet.
