The Pan's Labyrinth Special Edition!
I panicked because this was a tad over 10mins, but the nice people at YouTube allowed it anyway!
The Keyboard Shortcuts used, in case you can't hear it properly:
ctrl+c = Copy
ctrl+v = Paste
ctrl+m = Merge all visible layers
alt+tab = Toggle windows (not strictly a GIMP short-cut, but I did use it in this tutorial!)

ok first thing, when i right click on my gimp thing, it doesnt do anything, so how am i sopposed to copy it? (ctr-c doesnt work either)

You should have three windows, the main Gimp tool box, the image window and the layers/paths/channels window.
In the layers window LEFT-click on the layer you wish to copy to select it.
Then, in the image window RIGHT-click on the selection you wish to copy.
This should work, provided you are clicking on the correct window.
