You're right about nobody wants to hear about our dollar going down and our economy is going bankrupt. That's why you rarely hear that from other candidates. Ron Paul speaks the truth, has said the same thing his entire political career. Only difference is the death penalty and he did give clear reasons.

The dollar going down is good for our economy. It makes our goods cheaper for people abroad, resulting in us selling more items for foreign goods. It makes overseas items more expensive for us resulting in a reduced trade deficit. The dollar going down only means that it is not the desired currency anymore to investors. It does have some good sides. It is not all bad.

Shitty Vehicles built in Detroit. Appliances, Gasoline, Coal, Computers, Boeing Aircraft, McDonald Douglas Aircraft, Industrial Equipment, Caterpillar Equipment, Medication, Tourism especially when the dollar is low, Soft Ware, Weaponry, Tools, Lumber, Fish, Crops, crops and more crops. Lots more if you want, but they only allow 500 characters.
Listening to these soldiers, it's terrible. Atleast they could shoot back.

WRONG...other countries are complaining because their currency is loosing value by attaching to the dollar...and the price they pay for good have increased...double and triple in some cases for items like corn and soy.
This is why more countries are dumping the dollar..the more this happens the faster our dollar depreciates.

Those other countries don't mean much though. Countries like Singapore, Saudi, Carribean Countries etc. They don't amount to much. The Euro gained about 40% on the dollar but the Saudi Riyal is only about two cent different. I am not too worried about them anyway. Everyone has to fight their own battle. What the US must do is quit supporting so many piece of shit countries. Egypt hate us but we give me billions in aid, same as Pakistan, WHY?

I admire the soldiers who are in harms way and still do the job they are commanded to do, it isn't easy. Their lives are on the line.
However, I believe that we entered the war under false pretenses. This has been confirmed by a report that shows Bush and his administration made 935 false statements in the months prior to the war. Bush himself is credited with 260 Lies.
This is a disgrace to the office of the presidency. And now Bush wants to attack Iran.

to be exact...as our dollar weakens, foreigners get more dollars, but the price of our goods also rises (that's inflation due to weakening dollar)...however, wages are the last thing to be renegoitated UP...so, imports decrease, while exports remain the same...giving the false illusion that an improving trade deficit is an "improving economy"...

I've always liked Ron Paul's ideas and attitude. If he had any chance at becoming president I would vote for him hands down. However, I do not agree with the anti-war movement. The fact that Bush justified the war on false pretenses and the fact that our soldiers (including some of my friends) and Iraqi civilians are suffering does not change the fact that most people in the Middle East want us dead, and their hatred for us is only partially our fault. They're not innocent either.
