yeah chiropractors ... ( 1 year ago by ciuck)
yeah chiropractors and osteopaths do all these things alreay but....without knowin'if there's some scientific evidence. This is the only difference I see, the will to search any evidence to know if it's really usefull to the patient.

you couldn't manipulate my little toe with that thrust
True chiropractors ... ( 1 year ago by browe481)
True chiropractors and osteopaths have used joint manipulations for years. However, not every patient will benefit from a manipulation. NO health care profession has been very successful at treating back pain. This prediction rule can help a clinician decide what patients will benefit from a manipulation and improve patient outcomes.
I believe the ... ( 1 year ago by browe481)
I believe the article they are referring to is an article by Childs et al in the December 2004 Annals of Internal Medicine.

How do you diagnose which side needs manipulation?
Chiro's and Osteo's ... ( 1 year ago by peteeeey)
Chiro's and Osteo's have been doing this, but they never took the time to find out which patients actually needed it. This Clinical Prediction Rule weeds out who needed to get the manip. This way you don't waste healthcare dollars by inapropriately treating all back pain the same.

First of all thanks for taking the time to make a video. Why do you require that the patient does not present with symptoms below the knee?
Recent evidince ... ( 11 months ago by qualitywillow)
Recent evidince shows that there is 0.2 degrees of movement occuring at the SIJ. Therefore these girls must be highly trained to achieve such a small movemement!!
One of your clinical predictor rules was l/spine hypomobility, so is this possibly just a manipulation of the l4/5 facet joint.
1. The manipulation ... ( 10 months ago by mesmaker77)
1. The manipulation here has most it's impact on the upper! lumbar spine. Certainly not the SIJ.
2. The velocity of this thrust is far too slow.

When you quote an author make sure you reed the article very well.
In this article Flynn says: 'This findings reinforces the idea that the manipulation technique is not specific to the SI region, but impacts the lumbar spine as well.'

It must be nice to have it SO together girls. I really hope you aren't trying to perform manipulations on patients. I can tell your school Instructors have done nothing but brainwashed you throughout your training. You honestly feel PT's are it! The sole saviors of the world! You really should be working with other professions because we all have our place in the health care spectrum. Without us - you wouldn't have a job anyway. Tell me, if you are SO successful -- what does making a video do?

How is this ... ( 4 months ago by cdawng)
How is this addressing the SI joint. There are other variables that you have to consider with this sort of manipulation. You have to address the sacrum, and to see if it is torsioned in different positions or fixiated in a posterior aspect or an anterior aspect. You guys do know of posterior and anterior nutation of the sacrum, and how when it's nutated anteriorly it slants down inferior and opposite with posterior nutation.

Side Bend away from you :) , again I found it so kinda "IT'S THAT EASY" HAHAHAHAHA . Why less than 16 days??? Why lumbar hypomobility for SIJ Manip??? I guess they call this technique as Chicago technique. Evidence also suggests that you don't necessarily had to have a gap or pop for manip. and youare trying to acheive 2mm of displacement in the joint.
A bit overwound, ... ( 1 month ago by monkeyhandfrozenleg)
A bit overwound, feel for the tension. Chicago doesn't have to be a very fast thrust if you get the angle right.
