Alexander's doping test was highly dubious.
Alexander gave a urine sample of 50 ml according to the records. The lab received a sample supposed to be Alexander's that consisted of 100 ml.
Although Alexander and his lawyers had requested this sample to be stored for further testing (DNA!), it was destroyed even before the regular storage time of 90 days was up.
It was never proven that the urine sample in question was actually Alexander's.
Check those facts!

Obiously you have no idea how often German Athletes were tested even those days by the national anti-doping organization. A Doping with Nandrolone would have been brought up much earlier. Nowadays scientists know well, that very high Nandrolone concentrations in urine can be the cause of nutrition (boars-meat) and can even be caused by medication that does not even contain it.

Trials on sportsmen are not democratic, they are not compareable to regular trials. Hence as a matter of fact Leipold is allowed again to call himself "winner of the olympic final 2000" with all rights on his side. There has been no honest revision after the first sports trial verdict and since wrestling doesn't have a huge fanbase in the world, there was no public interest in digging deeper to find the truth. Unfortunately, there's only one good article about it by acclaimed German...

come on how it could be if they need from alexander 200ml and finaly they get 250ml for the test????was there magic or what??i was tested also 3 times and all time there was persons with me to see if i cheat or not and they need just 200ml not more if you did more they will just take this 200ml, so tell me why it was 250ml with alexander.Futhermore what that usa over germany?who won the match and who was on the top?

Many Americans choose to pursue careers instead of being professional athletes because they know that they can't wrestle forever so they might as well ensure a safe lifestyle for the future.
One of my friends was ranked number 1 in the country in figure skating but decided to go to college and pursue a career rather than be a pro skater.
