Casualties among US and Nato troops in Afghanistan have been rising and the US-led foreign forces accuse Iran of supplying the Taliban with sophisticated weapons.
Some of those weapons, including landmines, have been intercepted at the border by the Afghan police.
Al Jazeera's David Chater reports from Afghanistan on the power game being played out amid the conflict.

Taliban formed after the soviet occupation ended so your a little time wise on that one and no the US never did arm or finance bin laden. You might want to research how AQ was formed and its precurser the MAK. The US never had any direct relations with him or his force. Nor did they ever fund or give weapons to him. What the CIA did do was fund ISI training camps.

They armed Iraq, then they fought them - Twice, and are still doing so.
They've been doing coups in Iran, and brought sanctions to it, aswell as arming Iraq in the Iran - Iraq war.
With USA's history in fucking things up for others, such as in Chile, venezuela, vietnam, korea, somalia.. I mean the list goes on and on.

Iran is a sworn enemy of Al-Qaeda and the Taliban. US has the uncomfortable situation of supporting the same guys as their enemy, Iran. But even if Iran was supporting its enemies, it shows badly for the US, because that would mean its put its enemies on the same boat and forced them to collaborate.

The safest place in afghanistan are the east cities that are neighboring Iran. The peace full nation in east side of Afghanistan share their culture with Iranians.
The war and fatalities comes from west and south-west of afghanistan that is neighboring with Pakistan and India.
How can Iran give weapons to Al-Qaeda and Taliban somehow thAt is not being used agaist Irannians by Jondollah ( an allied group with Taliban).
